Following the traditional rejections by Agents of Renown, stuffed it in a virtual drawer and hung up my guns. Suddenly there were eBooks! Restored, I published the techno thriller. (Weird physics--you had Feynman, I had Pauli) and savaged my back list, unleashing biofabs and mindslavers upon unsuspecting new readers. Still waiting for that call from the Nobel Laureate Committee, but the modest royalties keep me in cognac. Crafting a sequel to the techno thriller while writing a novella based on my doing hard time as a teacher/mentor to wayward youth. In Florida. (Only believable as fiction. It's kinda like that when I finish cartoons sometimes; (I'm a cartoonist at a comm college newspaper; we've been winning awards , and awards for my cartoons-at our college level since I got there, so we are good- till our funding gets cut...) when its done, you feel like there's...eh- I'm empty. I take my hands from the drawing board, and sit back, maybe go chop those #$%&* weeds in the backyard.. Then, something happens..(this time, it was the Trayvon Martin incident) and I got something to say..and lots of different ways to say it, and I'm off again.
